Viladecans, November 2025
On November 21, 22, and 23, Beer Events, together with the Viladecans Hospitality Guild and the Viladecans Merchants Network, and with the support of the Viladecans City Council, organized a comprehensive showcase of local and craft beers as part of the city’s Medieval Fair.
The activity took place in the Magdalena Modolell Gardens, in a space set in a fully medieval atmosphere and named “Viladecans, Cloister of Beer.” This setting made it possible to highlight craft beer and local gastronomy, offering the public an attractive proposal filled with beer-focused content. In addition, attendees were able to enjoy a live beer-making demonstration using hot stones, a traditional method that recreates how beer was produced in northern Europe.
The showcase featured the participation of well-known local and craft breweries such as Espiga, La Pirata, Bierboi, Montseny, Les Clandestines and Garage, offering a wide variety of styles and proposals for all tastes.
Throughout the three days of the event, the Viladecans Restaurant Guild presented two show-cooking demonstrations, integrating local products with different styles of craft beer. At the same time, Beer Events led several educational activities to spread knowledge about monastic brewing traditions and their production processes: “The Liquid Legacy of the Monks,” a journey into the heart of the monasteries where abbey beer was born, including a tasting of three monastic gems; and “Witches and Herb-Women: The Secret Before Hops,” an experience to discover what domestic beers were like before hops became the standard, featuring a tasting of three beers inspired by that era.
The proposal became a true meeting point for beer lovers and the general public, who were able to enjoy three days full of beer culture, tastings, gastronomy and historical atmosphere. A great success in terms of participation, consolidating Beer Events as a benchmark in the promotion of beer culture and in the creation of experiences around craft beer.
